Here are a few emails from Frosty's owner Jeff over the first few months in her new home.
Arrival! 3-15-08 Just wanted you to know we are home safe and sound away from the crazy Boston drivers! She is quite the little traveler making all kinds of friends at the cargo center! They all gathered to see her off! She rides very nice with a little meow to say hi, then just purred all the way home. She is quite the little girl, thanks so much for all your help!!
Kitten Announcement: 3-15-08 Hi everyone, New kitty update!!! She left Ca. Fri at midnight for a stop-over early Sat. morning in Texas. At the airport in Texas they have a large facility for the animal traveler's so they can stretch their legs and have a snack. Then a non-stop flight to Logan arriving noon Sat. I arrived at the continental gate, terminal A, after several missed turns amid many insane Boston drivers! Oh no you say, cargo is no longer in this building, oops! Ok back track to the stairs, elevators, moving side walks and try to find the truck. Then on the road again to find the separate cargo terminal. When I got there and told them I was here to pick up a cat everything went silent for a second. Turns out she had made friends with a lot of them and they all came out to see her off. She was all nested in her carrier that was all covered in airline stickers making her look like a very worldly traveler! She gave me a meow hi, then started purring (which lasted all the way to N.H.)and we were off and running, until the guy at the toll booth spotted the little girl and wanted to say hi to her, and also tell me about his 17year old cat. After that all the way home with no problems. She is quite the little girl who supervises everything I do. I did however have to sacrifice my plastic cooking spatula because I had forgotten to replace the old litterbox scooper! That’s it for now! Over and out. Jeff
New Home: 3-16-08 She seems to be adjusting well thanks to her fine up- bringing by you and your family. Also quite the little cuddle bug! It's too funny how she supervises me around the house! Will send you some pictures soon!
1st. Vet Visit: 3-22-08 She went for her health check Mon. 17th with rave reviews! They really love her and commented on how fit she was and the total amount of info and paperwork she arrived with! Will send you a copy of her check-up .I think she is adjusting well--currently got tired of helping me type this and is crashed out on the end of the bed. By the way it took my Vet a little while to listen to her heart, chest etc. because the purr motor was so loud it was drowning everything out! Too funny! She likes to supervise everything I do and that’s fun with me. I love the direct eye to eye contact that she gives. Once she found out we had feather toys and wands in N.H. everything was going to be ok! Loves to play, play and play. One favorite thing to do is chase the string or go and retrieve it from atop the cat stand. I also made her a little cardboard toy box with some paw holes in it, lots of fun! She will play alone but really prefers a human helper. Also Very, Very Intelligent as you know. This has been a great experience and I couldn't be happier with her. I will attempt to send you some pictures and talk to you later. Happy Easter!
Growth Spurt: 3-24-08 I've had various cats and dogs before but the intelligence and reasoning level of the Pixie is almost scary! Lots of fun! swear Frosty is growing every day .Chest is looking very rugged and I think her legs are having a growth spurt! Also starting to chirp at me during hide and seek.
She Keeps Growing & Growing .... 3-30-08 think Frosty is in the middle of a growth spurt, growing like a little tank! She also wants in the worst way to jump in the shower! Lots of laughs.
Feather Wand: 4-25-08 Frosty is doing good, a little over 7lbs, not fat but bulky and rugged! (Has a little belly pouch). She goes crazy when I bring out the Da bird wand with the spinning-flying feathers. She waits by the closet teasing for it, rolling on her back, talking and chattering. She is such a good cat! We are having a blast, very easy to communicate with!
